NTT Docomo Business, Inc. and Aptopod, Inc. entered into a capital and business alliance agreement on October 31, 2025, and today Aptopod conducted a third-party allotment of new shares underwritten by NTT Docomo Business.
Through this partnership, the two companies aim to jointly develop and provide an autonomous driving assistance platform that utilizes V2N communications by combining NTT DOCOMO Business’s network services and NTT’s IOWN® technology with Aptpod’s technical capabilities and know-how in building IoT platforms using its proprietary iSCP protocol.
In recent years, efforts to implement autonomous driving in society have been accelerating, including government-led demonstration experiments, against the backdrop of a shortage of personnel in local public transportation. In this context, the importance of a highly reliable V2N communication environment has been drawing renewed attention.
