LINE Yahoo! Corporation began offering “LINE Touch,” a new feature for LINE Official Accounts that utilizes NFC (Near Field Communication) technology, on November 17th.
With LINE Touch, users simply hold their smartphone over a special NFC tag to smoothly launch LINE Official Accounts, LINE Mini Apps, and other apps, and instantly access a variety of LINE services, including adding friends, obtaining coupons, displaying membership cards, and mobile ordering.
Compared to conventional QR code solutions, this solution also has a function to prevent fraudulent use due to the spread of QR codes and URLs, providing a safe and comfortable touch experience.

In recent years, “touch” experiences, such as cashless payments, digital business cards, and entrance/exits, have become commonplace.
LINE Yahoo! has newly introduced NFC technology, which is used in these areas, to create a new point of contact that increases convenience and safety for both users and stores/event organizers.
By using LINE Touch, users can seamlessly use various services, such as obtaining coupons, presenting their membership card, and mobile ordering, without having to search for an app or scan a QR code.
Store and event operators can also easily start using the service by simply attaching or placing an NFC tag. Initial settings and changes to destinations can be made from the LINE Official Account management screen, reducing operational burden while encouraging more customers to visit the store and improving the customer experience.
In addition, the number of touches and number of users can be visualized, allowing for a quantitative understanding of the effects of promoting store visits and participating in campaigns, and the optimization of offline measures.
