Monozukuri Venture has started a new three-day program called KAP Camp. It is built for people inside manufacturing companies who are expected to lead new business ideas and push collaboration with startups.
KAP Camp is a shorter, hands on version of the Kyoto Acceleration Program. That original program runs for three months and has already helped create carve out projects. The new camp squeezes the full business creation flow into three days. Participants work through problem definition, idea generation, and business model thinking with support from startup CxOs and VCs.
Everyone who joins gets a report that shows their strengths and gaps. It covers nine areas like problem setting, idea creation, and business model design. The goal is to make skills and potential visible, so companies know who is ready to take on new business roles.

The training is practical. No textbook sessions. Instructors guide participants the same way they would guide a real venture. Companies can send up to ten people. The fee is 1.5 million yen for the group.
The background here is simple. Organizations require workers who can both adjust and invent. The attributes of innovation, perseverance, and management are turning into the core ones. However, the majority of the groups do not receive opportunities to develop these qualities in their routine occupations. KAP Camp is meant to fill that gap by giving people real experience in a compressed format, helping companies spot future leaders and helping participants see where they can grow next.
