Canva has rolled out Creative OS, its biggest product evolution yet, built around what it calls the world’s first AI Design Model. The new system fuses design, collaboration, publishing, and measurement into one platform meant to speed up and simplify how teams create and manage visual content.
The highlight is Canva’s AI that actually understands design logic, enabling users to build layouts, refine visuals, and generate editable content in seconds. The redesigned Video 2.0 editor, Forms, and Canva Coding integration expand creative formats, while Ask Canva AI acts as an in-editor design assistant. Canva is also repositioning itself as a full marketing platform with Canva Marketing, which lets teams ideate, publish, and analyze campaigns directly.

Another key move is making Affinity, Canva’s professional design suite, permanently free, removing a major barrier for pro creators. With over 260 million users and growing traction in Japan through partnerships and local content, Canva’s Creative OS signals a sharper pivot from simple design tool to an intelligent ecosystem that blends creativity, collaboration, and commerce.
