PFU Limited has upgraded its AI-OCR software, “DynaEye Payroll Report OCR,” specialized for payroll payment reports, and will begin offering it in early December.
“DynaEye Payroll Report OCR” is AI-OCR software that automatically distinguishes between “summary sheets,” “separator sheets,” and “individual statements” contained in payroll payment reports and uses AI-OCR to recognize them with high accuracy. This latest upgrade provides two new applications, the “Verification and Correction App” and the “Output Conversion App,” that enable local governments to complete the entire process from checking and correcting documents to linking them to tax systems.
In addition to municipalities finding it difficult to outsource BPO services, even municipalities that outsource services still have no choice but to manually input documents that arrive after the contract period has ended, making payroll payment report processing a significant burden on the front lines. The addition of this new app provides comprehensive support for sorting documents, checking the number of sheets, manual input, confirmation and correction, and tax system integration. In addition to promoting in-house production, the app also flexibly accommodates internal processing after the outsourcing period has ended, improving the efficiency of all paper-based operations and reducing the burden on employees.

It also supports the scanning of low-quality forms transferred from other municipalities, making it possible to automatically process forms that were previously considered difficult to process with OCR.
In addition, we are offering a new license that allows you to use the individual statement reader, the “Verification and Correction App” and the “Output Conversion App” as a set. Because it is not a pay-per-use service, it is easy to manage the budget, and local governments can introduce it with confidence.
PFU has been realizing the “digitization of paper and document information” in various paper-based business processes through its image scanners, which hold the world’s No. 1 market share, and its proprietary OCR technology. With the release of this upgraded version of “DynaEye Payroll Payment Report OCR,” the company will achieve operational efficiency improvements for even more customers than ever before, and will provide strong support for work style reforms and digital transformation in local governments.
In recent years, local governments have been suffering from a chronic labor shortage, and the difficulty of recruiting and increased workloads have led to long working hours and a severe workload for employees. Although local government operations are becoming increasingly digitalized, many payroll reports are still submitted on paper, and tasks such as sorting documents, checking the number of sheets, and data entry place a heavy burden on employees.
In particular, in municipalities where it is difficult to outsource to BPO providers, employees themselves are required to perform all tasks such as manual entry in addition to their regular work, and they are forced to spend a lot of time on unfamiliar, simple tasks with limited manpower. On the other hand, even in municipalities that outsource work to BPO companies, employees must process documents that arrive after the contract period has ended, resulting in a “hidden burden.”
This situation has led to the normalization of overtime work during busy periods and the risk of human error, making it necessary to balance work efficiency with accuracy. As a result, attention is being paid to in-house production and the efficiency of internal work using AI-OCR as a system that can process data efficiently and accurately even with limited staff.
