IBM and Anthropic are joining forces. They will add Claude, Anthropic’s advanced AI model, to IBM’s enterprise software. This partnership seeks to boost how quickly businesses adopt AI. It will enhance productivity. It will also make sure security, governance, and cost management are part of the software development process.
Under the partnership, Claude will initially be integrated into an AI-first developer tool system (IDE), enhancing enterprise software development, including software modernization. The IDE leverages Claude’s capabilities for intelligent code generation, code review, end-to-end orchestration, and security-first development.
IBM is offering a private preview of the system to select users. Early tests with more than 6,000 IBM employees showed a 45% boost in productivity. This change saved costs and kept code quality and compliance standards intact.
