CTC SP Corporation, a group company of ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Corporation (CTC), which sells IT-related equipment and software, has launched “Digital Workplace for AI,” a service that provides AI PCs that can complete AI processing on a standalone PC, equipped with cutting-edge technologies from multiple overseas partners with which the CTC Group collaborates. The service flexibly combines features such as security, ID management, and AI output control according to customer needs, providing a safe and comfortable work environment. The service will be primarily targeted at companies working to improve employee satisfaction through the use of AI, with the goal of achieving sales of 1 billion yen over three years.
In recent years, as the use of cloud-based generative AI has increased, issues such as information leaks and communication delays have been raised, drawing attention to AI PCs, which have AI functions built into the device as standard. AI PCs offer benefits such as the peace of mind of being able to process data without sending it externally, the convenience of instant response, and reduced dependency on GPU servers. However, new challenges have arisen, such as having to individually manage security measures and confirmation of the accuracy of generated answers, which were previously managed centrally on the cloud, for a huge number of devices.
Digital Workplace for AI is a service that implements cutting-edge technologies such as security, ID management, and AI output control on AI PCs. AI processing is completed within the PC without sending data externally, minimizing the risk of information leaks and enabling the safe handling of confidential information. The implemented technologies can be flexibly combined according to each company’s system environment and business requirements, allowing customers to select and use the functions they need. Specifically, the service provides support for improving business efficiency through features such as automatic translation and image generation using generative AI, security functions that detect and block the unauthorized use of corporate data, functions to detect and suppress hallucinations, and a centralized user authentication infrastructure, enabling zero-trust security in line with corporate security policies.

It is also possible to configure a dataless client or virtual desktop that does not leave data on the AI PC. By distributing some of the work required for advanced AI processing to the terminal, power consumption of the GPU server can be reduced, contributing to reducing the environmental impact.
Since the 1980s, the CTC Group has been conducting market research on the latest technologies, discovering new products and services, and collaborating with partners, primarily in North America, accumulating advanced technology and know-how. In recent years, the group has further strengthened partnerships with overseas startups, and developed this service by incorporating cutting-edge technology and operational know-how. Going forward, the group will continue to develop AI-utilizing services tailored to the needs of each industry through its own in-house technology verification and operation of a demonstration environment, thereby supporting the improvement of productivity throughout society.
