Free Inc. (freee) announced on the 1st that it has added new fields for grade, performance evaluation results, and job type to the employee information section of its cloud-based HR/Labor system, “freee HR/Labor,” enabling centralized management of employee information. freee HR/Labor is a cloud service that automates everything from attendance management and payroll calculations to year-end tax adjustments and labor procedures.
Previously, freee HR/Labor did not have a HR information management function, requiring employees to manage their HR information in a separate tool. This required labor managers to check employee grades and ensure they were being paid appropriately at the time of pay, which required time and effort. To address this issue, the system has now been updated to allow users to enter three fields: grade, performance evaluation results, and job type. This enables centralized management of employee information, reducing the burden on the relevant department. It also allows users to track employee progress by registering past performance evaluations and grade transitions. Freee is promoting the benefits of this centralized management, which allows companies to understand the distribution of grades within an organization, allowing them to consider appropriate personnel allocation and build strategic organizations.

In addition, with this update, the company will begin offering a free trial of the Google spreadsheet “Trial Talent Management Sheet,” which can run evaluation distribution reports, high performer analysis, and grade retention analysis. It can be used to identify biases in evaluations between departments, discover new leadership candidates, and detect employee turnover risks early.
