In recent years, search and answer experiences using generative AI, such as ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews (formerly SGE), have rapidly expanded. As a result, for companies, “the appropriate inclusion of company information in AI answers” is becoming a new important indicator for search traffic and brand recognition.
On the other hand, there has been an increase in cases where AI provides answers directly on search result pages, which has resulted in the “zero-click search problem,” where users are not redirected to an external site after searching, and companies are facing issues such as “our company information not being featured in AI answers,” “a decrease in site traffic from search engines,” and “incorrect information being quoted.” Furthermore, it has been predicted that search volume for traditional searches will decrease by 25% by 2026 (*3), making it an urgent issue for companies to deal with information distribution via generative AI.
