Toyota Tsusho will invest in Hi-Res Inc. This company runs GPU-focused data centers and offers GPU cloud services in Japan. The investment comes as global demand rises. The demand comes from the rise of generative AI and other applications needing much computing power. HiRes runs facilities in Ishikawa and Kagawa Prefectures. These facilities focus on energy efficiency and use renewable energy sources.
This partnership comes after a 2023 deal. In that deal, both companies agreed to market GPU cloud services together. HiRes brings its know-how in energy-efficient GPU data centers. Toyota Tsusho adds its strengths in renewable energy and global networks. Together, they want to grow sustainable data infrastructure. They will also look into green data center development, including expanding overseas.

It also helps build a sustainable digital society.
