Ricoh Japan Co., Ltd. announced that its generative AI service, RICOH Digital Buddy, will now support integration with Box as an “External Storage Integration” option.
“RICOH Digital Buddy” is a solution that utilizes RAG (Search Augmentation Generation) technology, where generative AI uses in-house knowledge to generate optimal answers. By simply uploading existing files such as PDF and Word to “RICOH Digital Buddy,” you can use them as the source of answers.
SharePoint integration has been available since May 14, 2025, and now integration with Box, an intelligent content management platform provided by Box, is now available. Customers who use Box as their existing file storage system can simply specify a folder on Box to use files stored in Box as the source of responses from RICOH Digital Buddy. When file information on Box is updated, the information is automatically updated on RICOH Digital Buddy, significantly reducing the effort required to specify reference files and update information.
