Moppy, a points site operated by Ceres Co., Ltd., will begin offering points redemption at physical stores from today for its cashless payment service Moppy Pay.
This means that when users use “Moppy Pay” to make payments at Visa contactless payment-compatible stores and “QUICPay” affiliated stores nationwide, they will receive 0.5% Moppy Points back.
The point site “Moppy” is one of the largest point sites in Japan, with a total of 13 million members. It is supported by many members due to the wide range of ways to earn points, such as through advertising, games, surveys, and video viewing, and the wide range of points that can be exchanged for bank, electronic money, gift certificates, and cryptocurrency.

The cashless payment service “Moppy Pay”, which was launched in November 2023, has been very well received due to the convenience of being able to use Moppy points at Visa contactless payment affiliated stores and QUICPay affiliated stores nationwide without exchanging Moppy points for other companies’ points. When the service first started, the ratio of payments made on the Internet and in physical stores was roughly equal, but recently the ratio of payments made in physical stores has increased to 70%.
In light of this, Moppy Pay, which previously only offered 0.5% Moppy points when making online payments, will now evolve into a service that allows users to receive the same 0.5% points back when making payments at physical stores. This applies to Visa contactless payment-compatible stores and QUICPay-compatible stores, so users will be able to earn Moppy points at supermarkets, convenience stores, and drugstores nationwide.
