Asuene Co., Ltd. has signed a business alliance (Memorandum of Understanding) with iPASS Corporation, headquartered in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, with the aim of promoting decarbonized management in companies. In anticipation of the strengthening of environmental regulations in the Taiwanese market, which will be fully implemented from 2026, the Company will contribute to the realization of decarbonized management and the creation of sustainable organizations in Taiwan.
Taiwan is currently working on establishing a legal system for decarbonized management, and in 2026, companies with capital of NT$5 billion or more are expected to be required to disclose their greenhouse gas emissions. Furthermore, from 2027 onwards, the scope of target companies is expected to be gradually expanded, and it is expected that companies will be required to manage emissions including Scope 3 in addition to Scope 1 and 2. As a result, obtaining primary data to calculate emissions resulting from employee movement, such as Scope 3 Category 6 (business trips) and Category 7 (commuting), is a major challenge for many companies.
