Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) announced that as enterprises modernize to secure connectivity, HPE Aruba Networking has been expanded to help strengthen a zero trust approach to accelerate threat protection.
As data-driven AI applications proliferate, more sophisticated threats are faced everywhere data is stored, captured or transmitted. HPE networking solutions help organizations mitigate risk, defend against attacks, and establish resilience and protection.
New cloud-based access control security capabilities delivered through HPE Aruba Networking Central accelerate enterprise-grade zero trust security by treating users, devices and applications as potential threats until verified, then applying robust policies to provide added protection.

The new HPE Aruba Networking Central Network Access Control (NAC) adds to HPE innovations by providing granular, cloud-based access control, enabling IT to more easily define and enforce role-based policies to identify user and device access, helping to facilitate universal ZTNA (zero trust network access). These new cloud security capabilities join HPE Aruba Networking Central’s existing intrusion detection system (IDS) and intrusion prevention system (IPS), AI-driven observability, and microsegmentation capabilities to mitigate the impact of potential breaches to further secure the network.
Security features provided by HPE Aruba Networking
New HPE Aruba Networking Central NAC Enhanced Policy Manager : Increases the granularity of access policies across the network, with more granular policy assignment than ever before, ensuring consistent security and compliance from edge to cloud. For example, policy assignment based on role (privilege) such as application to role, role to subnet, and role to role.
Enhanced HPE Aruba Networking Central and HPE OpsRamp integration : Improved observability with expanded native monitoring of third-party network equipment from Cisco, Arista, Juniper Networks, etc. New application profiling, classification, and risk assessment capabilities in HPE Aruba Networking Central enable you to set application access policies based on risk propensity.
New features in HPE Aruba Networking EdgeConnect SD-WAN : New SASE capabilities enable tighter integration with HPE Aruba Networking SSE, new Adaptive DDoS Protection capabilities use machine learning to dynamically adjust DDoS protection mechanisms in real time, and a complimentary HPE Aruba Networking Private Edge license included with all ZTNA customers.
HPE Aruba Networking SSE now includes highly available, high performance mesh connectivity : Advanced smart routing between global points of presence (PoPs) provides improved reliability and resilience, designed to ensure zero downtime. Mesh connectivity dynamically routes traffic over the most optimal path, provides secure alternate data paths and automatically handles failures, ensuring uninterrupted, always-on security without IT intervention.
