Asahi Kasei expands Sonanos with next-gen excipients

Asahi Kasei, a leading healthcare materials provider, is growing its Sonanos™ excipient range. They are adding two new specialty grades. Paid samples are available now, and GMP-compliant products are planned for sale in 2027. Sonanos™ helps make injectable drugs better. It offers sustained release and improved solubility. This is essential for biologics, peptides, and cancer therapies. It's very important for compounds that don't dissolve well in water. The new grades are Sonanos™ PG and Sonanos™ DS. Sonanos™ PG is optimized for a steady release of biologics and peptides. This helps with patient-friendly dosing. Sonanos™ DS improves the solubility of poorly water-soluble APIs.
