Sumitomo Electric has launched MCore Ver. 7.9, its latest IT asset and security management platform. Initially created to manage over 100,000 PCs in the Sumitomo Electric Group, MCore combines IT asset, security, and compliance management in one system. This new version features an automatic IT asset ledger registration option. It allows users to import data like purchase, transfer, and disposal records directly from external systems using CSV files. This static asset information links automatically with dynamic operational data collected by the MCore agent. This data includes current installation locations, logged-in users, and software status. By centralizing static and dynamic data, this update reduces manual entry, cuts down on workload, and lowers the risk of human error.
