EdgeCortix Inc., a fabless semiconductor company focused on energy-efficient AI processing at the edge, has completed the initial close of its Series B funding round, bringing its total funding to nearly $100 million USD. The round attracted global investors like Yanmar Ventures, Pacific Bays Capital, and NTT Finance Corporation. SiC Power and Aero X Ventures also joined in. Existing investors, including SBI Investments and Global Hands-On VC, continued their support. The financing will speed up production of EdgeCortix’s SAKURA-II AI co-processors. These co-processors are already used in fields like robotics, industrial automation, defense, aerospace, and space exploration.
