Hitachi and Tobu Railway launch HMAX Co-Creation Project

Hitachi and Tobu Railway Co have started a partnership to roll out Hitachi’s HMAX platform on Tobu trains. The goal is to use digital tools to improve how trains are maintained. The intention is to have an automated inspection process for vehicles, perform manual tasks in a more efficient manner, and eventually support on-site teams digitally to work more intelligently. The initiative is linked to a broader movement for making railways eco-friendlier and more dependable. Hitachi Rail is using its AI expertise to change mobility.
