Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) has completed a project to add a 689MW gas turbine combined cycle (GTCC) power plant to the No. 5 Power Plant owned by Aluminum Bahrain BSC (Alba), a major national aluminum smelter in Bahrain, and the plant has recently begun commercial operation. MHI completed the contract for this natural gas-fired GTCC power plant one month ahead of schedule, and has also signed a long-term service agreement (LTSA), supporting the stable operation of the power plant to ensure a continuous supply of highly efficient and reliable energy.
