The collaboration was announced on December 22, 2025. It strengthens technology ties between Japan and India. This move also helps tackle global supply chain challenges. ROHM and Tata Electronics will start by assembling and testing power semiconductor devices. Their first product is an automotive-grade N-channel 100 V, 300 A Silicon MOSFET.
