SBI Sumishin Net Bank announced that it will evolve its open core banking system, "NEFSS (Next Evolution in Financial Services Systems)," provided by IBM Japan, into a new architecture that will enable expansion in line with future growth. The bank will also fully migrate to the Amazon Web Services ( AWS ) cloud environment by early 2028. Since its launch in 2007, the bank has leveraged cutting-edge technology to grow as a "digital bank" offering full online banking services, including deposits, payments, and loans. Currently, the bank has 8.25 million accounts and a total deposit balance of over ¥11 trillion.
