Polyplastics Group has introduced its DURAST® Powder technology. This innovation turns high-performance engineering resins into fine powders. Our powders fuel innovation in many manufacturing processes. They easily fit into prototyping, 3D printing, and mass production. This technology tackles old issues by breaking down tough, high-molecular-weight resins. These include liquid crystal polymer (LCP) and polyphenylene sulfide (PPS). These materials often stuck together and didn't flow well with regular grinding methods. DURAST® creates uniform powders with particle sizes from 1 to 100 micrometers for LCP. This ensures great flowability and mixing dispersibility. As a result, it improves process stability and part quality. The technology addresses the issues of powderizing resins with low glass transition temperatures. This includes materials like polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) and polyacetal (POM).
