Akuru Deploys Fraud Detection and Authentication System “ASUKA” on Creema SPRINGS

Akuru Corporation, a Tokyo-based provider of solutions for preventing fraudulent credit card use, has begun supplying its fraud detection and authentication system ASUKA to Creema SPRINGS, the e-commerce platform operated by Creema Inc. The move comes amid a sharp rise in credit card fraud in Japan. According to data released by the Japan Credit Association, losses from fraudulent credit card use reached 51.3 billion yen in 2024. Against this backdrop, Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry issued updated Credit Card Security Guidelines in March 2025, urging e-commerce merchants to strengthen security measures across online payment processes.
