Vector Holdings Co., Ltd. and Blue Planet-works Inc. will collaborate to provide safety-focused AI solutions. As the first step, Vector HD has signed a distributor agreement with IT Guard Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Blue Planet-works, and will begin selling the zero-trust endpoint security product “AppGuard.”
In recent years, with the spread of generative AI and data utilization, AI has become a familiar presence not only in corporate activities but also in personal work and everyday life. However, the more AI is used, the more complex the risks of unauthorized intrusion into devices and information leaks become, and situations have arisen in which traditional countermeasures alone are no longer sufficient. In particular, in recent years, there has been a succession of cases in which important corporate information has been targeted due to the increase in ransomware attacks and attacks originating from the supply chain. In order to reliably protect the information that forms the basis of business activities from threats, it is becoming increasingly important to take effective measures for both devices and data.

To address these challenges, the two companies will collaborate on an approach that separates devices (edge) and data according to their roles, as a form of security suited to the AI era. On the device side, AppGuard, a fortress-type security software that only allows commands defined as acceptable to be executed, will be adopted. This defense will prevent malicious programs from infiltrating and limit the spread of damage, creating an environment that makes it easier to protect important information. Furthermore, with regard to data, the companies are considering utilizing fully homomorphic encryption (FHE) technology, which performs calculations while the data remains encrypted, with the aim of ensuring confidentiality of information even during AI processing.
