SB Technology Corp. will begin selling “XM Cyber,” a cloud-based exposure management platform provided by XM Cyber Ltd.
XM Cyber is a cloud-based exposure management platform based on CTEM, a security risk management framework. It detects issues in the customer’s environment from an attacker’s perspective and prioritizes areas to be fixed. It also helps reduce the time and effort required for security operations by identifying intermediate points in the intrusion route and presenting specific steps to fix the problem to prevent the attack range from expanding. Furthermore, it supports comprehensive security measures in organizations that lack the highly skilled security personnel to operate the multiple security products required for each issue.
In recent years, the number of IT assets in many organizations has increased due to the promotion of diverse working styles, digitalization, and the use of cloud services such as SaaS and IaaS, and the attack surface area that serves as the starting point and route for cyber attacks has expanded and diversified. Responding to vulnerabilities in the ever-increasing number of IT assets and risk responses in cloud environments has made it difficult to properly manage and understand an organization’s own IT assets.
Until now, security measures within organizations have typically involved introducing and using different products and services for each security issue. However, the reality is that it is extremely difficult to continuously and comprehensively correlate and understand the individually detected threats and risks, and to deal with them in a timely manner.
Therefore, SBT will start handling XM Cyber, which can realize continuous and comprehensive security measures. XM Cyber comprehensively detects risks that can be exploited by attackers, such as vulnerability information, leaked authentication information, and various system settings including Active Directory, and can rationally prioritize correction points by analyzing attack paths. Because it is a virtual simulation, there is no impact on the actual environment, and it is possible to continuously check the latest situation at all times.
