Otsuka Shokai Co. Ltd. announced that it will start offering “Tayoreru EDR Advisory Service for Microsoft Defender,” an operational support service for Microsoft Japan ‘s EDR product ” Microsoft Defender for Business ,” from March 6th. “Tayoreru EDR Advisory Service for Microsoft Defender” is a service for companies that have contracted licenses including Microsoft Defender for Business in Otsuka Shokai’s “Tayoreru Microsoft 365,” which provides Microsoft 365 licenses and support as a package. Otsuka Shokai’s security specialists will investigate and isolate detected threats and respond to inquiries from users regarding those threats.
This will allow companies that have difficulty securing personnel with security knowledge or companies that have not been able to introduce the product due to a lack of personnel in their information systems departments to use the advanced security features of EDR. Specifically, when a company receives an email notification of a threat detected by Microsoft Defender, they can ask Otsuka Shokai to investigate the threat and perform quarantine operations on their behalf. Otsuka Shokai will then investigate the detected threat and manually quarantine the threat within the Defender portal.
