Genesia Ventures Inc. is pleased to announce that it has made an additional investment in defense tech company Skygate Technologies Inc. from its Genesia Venture Fund 3.
Investors in this round include JAFCO Group Co., Ltd., Keio Innovation Initiative Inc., Mitsubishi UFJ Capital Co., Ltd., SMBC Venture Capital Co., Ltd., and Resona Capital Co., Ltd.
In recent years, the international security environment has become increasingly complex and serious, and the Japanese government is promoting large-scale budget increases and organizational reforms to strengthen defense capabilities. The advancement of information and command and control functions in the defense domain, as well as the strengthening of AI, cyberspace, space, and electromagnetic domains, are urgent issues, and expectations for startups in defense system development are also rapidly increasing.
