CTC Signs with Illumio to Offer Zero Trust Security in Japan

ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Corporation have signed a distributorship deal with Illumio Inc., a leading provider of zero-trust security solutions. CTC will start offering the Illumio Platform. This micro-segmentation security solution helps visualize communication between PCs and servers. It also blocks unauthorized traffic, which limits damage from cyberattacks. The solution will focus on sectors that need strong security, like finance, healthcare, public services, and manufacturing. The aim is to achieve 20 deployments in the first year.

Cyberattacks are getting more sophisticated. This highlights the need to boost internal network defenses. Attackers are using tactics like internal reconnaissance and privilege hijacking more often after breaching corporate networks. Micro-segmentation splits networks into smaller parts like PCs, servers, and apps. This method is a strong defense because it limits unnecessary paths. It also stops attackers from moving laterally. The Illumio Segmentation solution, part of the Illumio Platform, solves this issue. It allows real-time visualization and control of IT assets and their communications. It shows traffic direction, frequency, protocols, and ports. This helps organizations easily spot high-risk communications. Administrators can easily create and apply segmentation policies. They just drag and drop systems on the visual map. This method helps control communication targets and conditions more precisely.
