ACSiON Inc. has signed a contract with Google Cloud Japan, LLC for the Web Risk Submission API to combat phishing scams. ACSiON is a group company of Seven Bank Co., Ltd., and is a cybersecurity company that utilizes its know-how in financial crime countermeasures to provide countermeasures against phishing, countermeasures against fraudulent internet banking transfers, and public personal authentication services.
Web Risk is a Google Cloud service that checks the safety of websites and displays a warning to prevent users from accessing fraudulent websites. Axion’s “anti-phishing service” has previously used this service to link with Web Risk and display a warning screen on the end user’s web browser as soon as a phishing site is detected. The warning screen is now displayed on the web browser more quickly than before, which is expected to further prevent and limit damage to end users who access phishing sites that imitate corporate websites.
