SUPER STUDIO Inc., which provides the integrated commerce platform “ecforce” that realizes commerce DX, is pleased to announce that it has entered into a partnership with Smaregi Inc, which develops the cloud POS register “Smaregi” that uses tablets such as iPads. In addition, with this partnership, the two companies will also begin offering the “ecforce OMO app,” which links EC and stores and makes it easy to build an OMO (Online merges with Offline) environment.
With the rapid rise in EC adoption rates during the COVID-19 pandemic, consumer purchasing behavior has also changed significantly. EC tends to be a purposeful purchasing behavior for daily necessities and consumer goods, while stores are increasingly taking on the role of providing customer experiences that are difficult to achieve through EC, such as trying on, touch-ups, and counseling. In the future, in order for commerce operators to grow their business while further improving the consumer purchasing experience, it will be important to review the value provided by EC and stores and their mutual relationship, and how to seamlessly connect the two. Therefore, for commerce operators, seamless integration between EC and stores, that is, building an OMO environment, is an urgent issue. However, to build this OMO environment, many tools are required, such as a customer management system for linking the EC cart system with the store’s POS, a system for managing products and inventory, and a point management system, and the integration of each system is very complicated. In addition to system integration, building on-site operations to realize OMO is also a heavy burden for commerce operators, and there are many challenges.
To resolve these issues, SUPER STUDIO began API integration with Smaregi in April 2024 and has been trialing OMO initiatives at “THE [ ] STORE” at RAYARD MIYASHITA PARK. THE [ ] STORE uses Smaregi to collect in-store purchase data, integrates and centrally manages EC and store data while analyzing it, and accumulates know-how on CRM measures to improve customer experience, striving to reduce the challenges and operational burdens of building an OMO environment for commerce businesses.

Meanwhile, Smaregi offers a low-cost, highly functional POS register that uses iPads and iPhones. By linking with external systems such as payment and accounting, the company aims to expand user options and improve convenience.
Following the efforts of both companies, SUPER STUDIO and Smaregi have now decided to enter into a partnership with the aim of creating new value for OMO by providing a seamless shopping experience between EC and stores. In addition, to mark the signing of this partnership, the app will be provided free of charge as the “ecforce OMO app.”
