Sakura Internet Inc., a provider of digital infrastructure services, will begin offering the virtual appliance-type WAF (Web Application Firewall) service “AIWAF-VE for Sakura Cloud” on the marketplace of its public cloud, “Sakura Cloud,” from Thursday, July 31, 2025.
This service is provided by MONITORAPP, Inc. which has made its virtual appliance-type WAF product available in the “SAKURA Cloud” environment, and by ITM Corporation, a group company of Sakura Internet which operates the MCSSP (Managed Cloud & Security Service Provider) business. By utilizing MONITORAPP’s unique proxy engine, it is possible to protect applications from threats to web servers and API servers.
In addition to standard countermeasures against web application attacks, this service also addresses compound threats, such as API protection, countermeasures against L7 DDoS, and blocking access from harmful bots. It also has a profiling function using machine learning technology, allowing for a fast and accurate response to attacks against web LLM.

In addition, it supports advanced settings and policy management, making it a service that can meet the highly specialized needs of those involved in the construction and operation of systems with high security requirements, and companies that provide managed services utilizing security functions.
This service is provided as a public archive OS of “Sakura Cloud” and uses a core license system where the fee varies according to the number of CPU cores. This allows for flexible and highly scalable use according to the purpose.
