Shippio Inc., which promotes trade digital transformation with the vision of “Advanced International Logistics,” has begun offering an automatic file linking API as a new function of the “Shippio API,” which links a company’s in-house core system with the Shippio cloud. This function automates the uploading and downloading of various files, which was previously done manually, further promoting business efficiency.
For many shippers and logistics companies, information between their core systems (ERP, sales management, accounting, etc.) and trade-related systems is fragmented. As a result, manual transcription, duplicate confirmation, and time lags in updates have hindered the optimization of inventory management and the improvement of production planning accuracy.
To address these issues, Shippio began offering the “Shippio API” in May 2024, automating data integration between core systems and the trade management cloud to support improved business efficiency and data utilization. Furthermore, to lower the barrier to entry and enable flexible use of trade data regardless of company size or industry, Shippio began offering the “Shippio API” free of charge in July 2025.

Now, a new file integration API function has been added to the Shippio API. Previously, Shippio API user companies were required to manually upload various files to their own systems, and manually download and store files received on the Shippio cloud. This function was developed to reduce this manual work and further promote business efficiency through API integration. This will reduce the burden of dual file management and manual uploading and downloading in trade operations, and support even greater business efficiency. The Shippio API, including this new function, is free to use. By lowering the barriers to adopting API functions, we will promote the efficiency of trade operations.
