This is not a future problem anymore. It is a deadline.
Fuji Soft and Works Applications have formalized a strategic partnership to push core system modernization using the HUE ERP platform. The timing is not random. It is tied directly to the SAP 2027 problem.
Come 2027, some 2,000 Japanese companies will be left with a downgraded version after the support cutoff for SAP ERP 6.0. That forces a decision. Upgrade, replace, or risk running critical systems without support. For large enterprises, that is not a small switch. It is a full-scale transformation.
HUE is being positioned as a domestic alternative built for Japanese business complexity. It covers functions across accounting, sales, projects, and supply chains, with over 6,700 standard features. More importantly, it follows a fit-to-standard approach aligned with local regulations and workflows. That reduces the need for heavy customization, which is where most ERP projects fail.

The partnership splits roles clearly. Fujisoft brings system integration and execution capability. Works Applications brings the product. Together, they are targeting companies with large-scale operations that need both flexibility and speed.
Step back and the pattern is obvious. ERP is shifting toward modular and adaptable systems. Companies want to change processes without rebuilding everything. The SAP deadline is just accelerating a shift that was already coming.
