Uravation Inc. has launched ‘Iwate.AI,’ a new AI community that helps people in Iwate Prefecture work with generative AI instead of only learning about it through online resources. The community will offer AI tips and Q&A discussions and online meetups and practical conversations which revolve around tools like ChatGPT and Claude through LINE Open Chat.
The first meetup is expected to take place in May 2026 when its participants will learn how generative AI can enhance business productivity and daily operational processes. The community offers free membership to anyone who lives or works or has ties to Iwate.
Uravation also launches its AI training and consulting services which it provides to all companies that operate in the prefecture. The company will assist businesses through AI implementation and workflow development and government training support application processes.

The launch demonstrates that AI adoption in Japan has begun to extend beyond Tokyo and major companies because regional communities view AI as a functional work tool rather than a technology trend.
