Upstage and NetApp have signed a strategic MOU that basically sets them up to work together on AI driven document workflows for the Japanese market. Upstage brings its document AI stack. NetApp brings its data management muscle. When you combine these elements, you will arrive at a trend which promotes faster, more scalable, and more secure solutions for those industries that handle huge amounts of data as their daily routine. This refers to the insurance, manufacturing, and public administration fields.
The collaboration has two big pieces. First is a joint reference architecture. Both companies plan to build and publish a setup that pulls together Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP with Upstage Document Parse and its LLM tech. The idea is to help companies expand their AI ready data infrastructure without wasting time and to make document automation more dependable.

Second is a set of industry focused AI solutions. They are aiming straight at insurance, manufacturing, and public sector teams. NetApp handles the storage scale and performance. Upstage brings high accuracy document AI. Put that into real workflows and you get things like smoother insurance claim processing, better compliance for manufacturers, and cleaner, faster document handling across public sector offices.
