Oracle Japan announced an expanded partnership between Oracle and Google Cloud . As a first step, the company will begin offering Google’s generative AI model, Gemini 2.5, through its Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Generative AI service. Through its new collaboration with Google Cloud’s Vertex AI, Oracle plans to make the entire Gemini model lineup available on the OCI Generative AI service , including cutting-edge models for video, image, audio, and music generation, as well as industry-specific models such as MedLM for the medical field .
In the future, Oracle plans to offer Gemini models delivered via Vertex AI as an option within Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications. This will provide companies with more flexible options for enhancing various business processes, including finance, human resources, supply chain, sales, service, and marketing. Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud, stated: “Today, leading enterprises are adopting Gemini to leverage AI agents across a variety of use cases and industries . With this expanded partnership, Oracle customers will have access to Google’s cutting-edge models directly from their Oracle environments, making it easier than ever to adopt powerful AI agents that can aid development and streamline data integration,” said Clay Magouyrk, president, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
