OpenAI and NTT DATA Group announced a global partnership. This partnership aims to speed up the development and use of generative AI technologies. NTT DATA Group aims for a big goal. They want to reach ¥100 billion in sales by the end of fiscal year 2027.
NTT DATA Group is the first distributor of “ChatGPT Enterprise” in Japan through this collaboration. The group will combine its system development skills with OpenAI’s advanced generative AI. This will help them provide secure and reliable AI services, including next-generation AI agents.
NTT DATA will kick off an OpenAI acceleration program for 100 big companies. This program will provide custom support for developing use cases with help from a team of experts. The focus starts with Japan, but we plan to expand into Europe, North America, and the Asia-Pacific region, which includes Spain.

NTT DATA Group will create AI agents. These agents will manage human tasks in important fields like finance, manufacturing, distribution, healthcare, and the public sector. These agents will serve as a new form of digital workforce. The company is also actively integrating OpenAI’s latest models and has begun a large-scale internal deployment of the OpenAI API.
NTT DATA will use its large team of generative AI experts to develop specialized roles, like consultants, to lead OpenAI business projects. The company also launched the OpenAI Center of Excellence. This center will offer customer support and share the latest in AI advancements and best practices.
This partnership will help NTT DATA Group grow its global presence in the generative AI market. It aims for innovation and plans to reach a ¥100 billion sales target by FY2027.
