NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com), Getworks Inc., and NTTPC Communications Inc. NTTPC has formed a strategic alliance. Their goal is to create a next-generation ICT platform for the AI era.
The three companies will work together to create AI infrastructure and services. They aim to meet the changing needs of today’s businesses. Their focus will be on decentralization, flexibility, security, and cost-efficiency. Their shared vision focuses on an “AI-Centric ICT platform.” This platform aims to help businesses increase productivity, improve competitiveness, and change business models using AI technologies.
A main goal of the alliance is to tackle big social issues. This includes boosting regional revitalization by using AI to decentralize industries and communities.

The companies highlighted that the rapid adoption of generative AI and AI agents is accelerating AI integration in business operations, particularly within individual departments seeking competitive advantages through proprietary AI systems trained on sensitive data. In the near future, widespread deployment of inference-based AI is expected across geographically distributed business locations, such as manufacturing sites.
However, this shift presents significant infrastructure challenges. Urban data centers are facing new challenges. They have limited power availability. Construction costs are rising. Also, it takes a long time to build new power grids. Additionally, network requirements are evolving. Traditional network models use fixed bandwidth. They are not enough for AI agents. These agents need dynamic, high-capacity, low-latency connections. They also must connect with external systems on their own.
Cybersecurity is another critical concern. As AI agents link to outside environments, companies face new risks. This is especially true for industrial machines and IoT devices. Here, protecting endpoints with tools like EDR can be tough. Securing the entire supply chain has become a key priority for management. It’s crucial for staying competitive and ensuring stability in AI-driven ecosystems.
To tackle these complex issues, each company brings distinct strengths:
- NTT Com contributes its nationwide network of over 70 data centers and advanced network capabilities, including “docomo business RINK” and the “APN Dedicated Line Plan powered by IOWN,” which offer Network as a Service (NaaS) features and robust security functions.
- Getworks offers expertise in container-type data centers and GPU service development.
- NTTPC brings deep experience in GPU private cloud services and large-scale cluster construction, having sold GPU servers to 120 companies and built clusters with more than 1,600 units.
Together, the three firms will work toward realizing their AI-Centric ICT platform by expanding on current initiatives such as private AI data centers (container-type) linked to advanced networks. These efforts include strengthening existing collaborations with Fixstars Corporation to streamline the design, construction, maintenance, and operation of AI infrastructure, and establishing production-ready environments for water-cooled GPU servers.
The alliance also envisions the rollout of AI-managed services incorporating AIOps and FinOps, with offerings that span distributed computing (GPUaaS, cloud, etc.), integrated with NTT Com’s dedicated network services. These solutions aim to create an optimized, cost-efficient ICT environment tailored for AI workloads.
The companies are also looking into platform services that include sustainable energy solutions. This helps them manage the high power needs of AI servers that use a lot of heat.
NTT Communications Corporation, Getworks, and NTTPC Communications are joining forces. Their goal is to boost productivity and competitiveness in the AI era. They also want to help tackle societal issues, such as regional revitalization. The companies plan to grow the AI-Centric ICT platform. They will form more partnerships and share updates on their projects soon.
