NEC announced that it will launch the “AI Discovery Program +”, a consulting service that provides total support for the use of AI in companies. The service will provide support from six perspectives: company policy, business use, governance, systems, data, and organization/human resources. While the use of AI has become an essential element for corporate growth and strengthening competitiveness, many companies have not yet implemented AI in a practical or full-scale manner, and the current situation is that AI adoption remains at a partial optimization level.
In response to these issues, NEC has begun offering the AI Discovery Program +, an enhanced and revamped version of the conventional “AI Discovery Program”. Based on NEC’s track record of supporting over 8,000 AI projects in various industries and sectors, including manufacturing and finance, and its practical knowledge of in-house AI development, introduction, and use, NEC will support AI utilization. The service is characterized by its support for optimal AI utilization according to each individual’s maturity level, purpose, and goals. By utilizing the practical knowledge gained while promoting in-house digital transformation (DX), NEC claims to be able to formulate a highly feasible AI roadmap.

In addition to proposing optimal utilization policies through utilization assessments from six perspectives, the plan is to support multiple phases such as grasping the current situation and considering specific measures by utilizing agentic AI, centered on the generative AI “cotomi” developed by NEC. By utilizing it to comprehensively search for internal and external information and to present measure proposals such as use case planning, it is said that compared to conventional personal strategy planning, the accuracy, speed, and comprehensiveness will be significantly improved, making it possible to plan AI strategies that contribute to management in a short period of time. It will be provided as a consulting service lasting about two to four months, with sales prices starting from 8 million yen (excluding tax).
