miibo, Sakura Internet offer AI app service with local model

miibo has partnered with Sakura Internet’s fully managed execution platform for generative AI, “Sakura’s Generative AI Platform,” to begin offering the “miibo Domestic Platform Package.” miibo announced this on July 9th. As generative AI is rapidly being used by companies, interest in data security and privacy protection is growing, and the risk of data leaking overseas and compliance with legal regulations are becoming important issues, especially for companies that handle confidential information. The package provides complete data protection using domestic technology, providing an environment in which companies can use AI with peace of mind. It is made up of domestic services from the platform to building AI applications, and processes data entirely domestically without sending it overseas, fully complying with domestic laws and regulations such as the Personal Information Protection Act.

In addition, the optimal domestic model can be selected depending on the application, and high-precision natural language processing is achieved by specializing in Japanese. As a main application scenario, a trial introduction has begun in the field of education at Kyoto University of the Arts. A project to improve learning efficiency using AI agents is being implemented. For data analysis within companies, it enables safe processing of confidential information and AI analysis, as well as the use of in-house knowledge through search augmentation generation (RAG) and vector databases.
