Jitera Inc., provider of the development AI agent “Jitera,” has established a branch office in the United States.
This will accelerate the global expansion of the development AI agent “Jitera” and help it grow into a product that is widely used around the world in order to realize our mission of “creating the next era of software.”
Since releasing Jitera, a development AI agent that automates system development and system modifications, in September 2024, we have expanded our customer base, mainly to major Japanese companies, and our sales have grown steadily. By leveraging our strengths as a Japanese company, such as our document-oriented development style, we contribute to solving the problems of many companies by prioritizing the development and provision of functions required in domestic development sites.
On the other hand, we are receiving an increasing number of inquiries from overseas regarding the use of “Jitera”‘s AI documentation function in areas such as modernization and reverse engineering, and we are also seeing a growing need in global development sites.
In particular, the United States is the cultural birthplace of AI products and software development, and at the same time has one of the world’s largest markets, so we view it as an extremely important market for our company in terms of future growth. Currently, we are conducting market research and sales activities from Japan, but in order to provide functions suitable for global companies in a timely manner and expand business opportunities in the future, we have determined that it is essential to establish a local base and build an activity system that meets local needs.
In addition, approximately 70% of our employees are foreign nationals, and the official company language is English, so we already have a solid foundation for overseas expansion. Through the establishment of our US branch, we will be able to respond quickly and flexibly to local needs and create an environment in which more companies can adopt “Jitera.”
Our CEO, Mr. Yanagisawa, will be appointed as the head of the American branch and will personally lead activities there.
In the future, with our mission of “creating the next era of software,” we will continue to expand “Jitera” globally, aiming to have it utilized in development sites around the world.
