Invox Inc. released a new service, ” Invox Carbon Accounting ,” on May 19, 2025. “Invox Carbon Accounting” estimates the emission coefficient to be applied by AI based on billing data accumulated through business efficiency improvements, and efficiently calculates greenhouse gas emissions up to Scope 3. We provide one-stop support for companies’ decarbonization management, from green procurement to offset support using carbon credits.
Our company’s slogan is “A society in which all businesses engage in decarbonized management,” and through the provision of “invox Carbon Accounting,” we aim to promote decarbonized management among businesses, reduce the burden on the environment, and realize a sustainable society.
Since the Industrial Revolution, technological innovation has made our lives more convenient, but the price of this is the worsening of global warming. It is feared that if the average global temperature exceeds 1.5°C, it will have a major impact on human society and the natural environment. With multiple organizations reporting that the year 2024 will see a temperature rise of more than 1.5°C in a single year, swift climate change measures are required.

In response to this situation, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry announced in the ” Basic Policy for the Realization of GX ” approved by the Cabinet in February 2023 that the “Emissions Trading Scheme” will be fully implemented in fiscal year 2026. In addition, companies listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market will be required to disclose the business impact of climate change, and efforts to reduce emissions throughout the supply chain have already begun. It is expected that the movement to reduce emissions will accelerate in the future, with the number of target companies expanding.
However, according to a survey we conducted, only about 10% of companies responded that they were “working on carbon accounting,” and even if we add companies that responded that they “plan to start within a few years,” the figure remains at around 20%. In particular, the combined percentage of companies with fewer than 30 employees that responded that they were “working on carbon accounting” or “plan to start within a few years” was an extremely low 5% or less.
Small and medium-sized enterprises, which account for the majority of Japanese companies, can find it difficult to secure the investments and human resources necessary for carbon accounting, making it difficult to make progress toward decarbonized management.
In order to solve these issues and realize a society in which anyone, regardless of company size, can engage in decarbonized management , we have decided to add a new carbon accounting service to the invox series under the slogan “A society in which all businesses engage in decarbonized management.”
