AI inside Inc. announced on the 13th that its AI-OCR service “DX Suite” now comes standard with an AI agent function that automates the pre- and post-processing of data entry work. Until now, this function had been rolled out to a limited number of users, but it will be available to all users from the same day. DX Suite is an AI-OCR service that can read documents in various formats, whether standard or non-standard, without prior learning. It can read handwritten characters, which were difficult to read with conventional OCR, with high accuracy, so it can help automate the digitization work that was previously done manually.
In the past, with this DX Suite, users had to manually set the items and ranges to be read for each document, but the AI agent provided this time will perform this work on their behalf and set the optimal reading settings. In addition, it can now automatically detect and process target files by linking with users’ local folders and shared drives. This means that users no longer need to upload files each time, and it is now possible to automate the process from data acquisition to OCR processing, CSV output, and data storage, including the pre- and post-processing that previously relied on external tools such as RPA and manual operations. It also supports integration with cloud storage such as Google Drive.

These AI agent functions can be used intuitively without additional settings or additional fees, so no special knowledge or complicated operations are required and it can be immediately incorporated into work. In addition, you can give your AI agent a name of your own, so it can blend in more naturally as a support for your work. In the future, updates to the proprietary LLM are planned to further improve the accuracy of reading non-standard forms and automatically check data after OCR processing to improve the reliability and quality of output.
