AI Data Corporation, a company that utilizes corporate data and AI, will begin offering AI OceanTech on IDX, an integrated research platform that utilizes generative AI for marine research in the “ocean” field, one of the 17 priority areas set by the Japanese government, with a particular focus on marine exploration, fisheries, and environmental monitoring.

AI OceanTech on IDX is a research DX platform that integrates and structures vast and highly specialized knowledge (marine observation data, fisheries records, research papers, policy documents, international agreements, environmental monitoring data, and researcher networks) across multiple fields, including ocean exploration, fisheries, environmental conservation, resource development, and coastal management, to accelerate marine research, formulate policy strategies, and comprehensively support industrial and environmental conservation strategies.

Toward the realization of sustainable ocean use and the conservation of the marine environment, the Japanese government has designated the marine sector as one of 17 priority areas, and is vigorously promoting research, development, and industrialization. Research and investment are expanding rapidly thanks to international collaborations, including those with the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC), domestic national projects, and the participation of private companies.
