Visual Voice Inc. announced today that it will start a joint proof-of-concept with NTT Digital Inc. in the fall of 2025. The project will use Decentralized Identifiers (DID) and Verifiable Credentials (VC). This will help create new Web3-based services.
Visual Voice, in partnership with NTT Digital, will tackle long-standing problems in the film and video industry. These include more complex copyright management, less transparency about creators’ skills, the need for trust in content distribution, and a rising demand for better fan engagement. The project aims to create new value for many stakeholders. This includes creators, buyers, companies, fans, schools, and local governments.
Background and Objectives: Tackling Industry Challenges with DID/VC
The film and video industry faces multiple challenges amid rapid digitalization and globalization. Web3 services built on DID and VC technologies offer potential solutions by improving the reliability and transparency of information, enabling automated and rigorous rights management, and reinforcing individual data sovereignty.

DIDs allow individuals to manage and control their digital identities, while VCs serve as tamper-proof digital certificates issued by trusted third parties. These may include credentials such as educational history, professional career, skills, awards, and intellectual property rights tied to creative works.
Through this proof-of-concept, Visual Voice and NTT Digital aim to integrate these technologies to drive meaningful advancements across the film and video industry.
The initiative will begin with the issuance of VCs to winners of SSFF & ASIA 2025 in October 2025. By 2026, the companies plan to expand into a full-scale service that includes content distribution and trading on the LIFE LOG BOX content marketplace. Together, Visual Voice and NTT Digital will work toward solving key industry challenges through the social implementation of DID/VC technologies.
