Gunze Uses Tech to Show Greening Projects’ CO₂ Impact

Gunze Limited is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, Gunze Green has developed a calculation method to visualize carbon dioxide absorption quantities from greening projects and quantify their reduction contributions through an industry-academia collaboration research project with the Urban Research Center at Kyushu University. This calculation technology aims to quantify CO2 reduction contributions through not only CO2 absorption from forest management within existing environmental credit frameworks but also business activities, such as supplying trees for greening projects. Furthermore, the methodology is scheduled to be presented at the 14th International Symposium on Eco-Design and Inverse Manufacturing (EcoDesign 2025) in November 2025 and subsequently published in an academic paper.
