Pocket Sign Inc. will launch a web version of its official local government app “Pocket Sign” in fiscal year 2026, allowing residents to access services directly through web browsers and existing municipal apps without needing to install a new app. The expansion is designed to help local governments integrate Pocket Sign into current digital channels, such as portal sites, LINE services, disaster prevention apps, and local community apps, while maintaining consistent resident access. Pocket Sign is already used in municipalities across Japan, offering daily services including disaster alerts, evacuation guidance, point programs, health initiatives, childcare support, surveys, and government notifications. However, many local governments sought a way to adopt Pocket Sign without requiring mass app downloads, prompting the development of a browser-based option.
