IDC Frontier Inc. and Vertiv Japan LLC said on the 24th that they set up a high-load environment of 150kW per rack at IDC Frontier’s Tokyo Fuchu data center. Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC) is the name for a liquid cooling method that was practiced in this series. The test confirmed that the cooling system can keep AI GPU servers running stably under heavy load.

As companies ramp up AI adoption, demand is rising for data centers that can handle high-heat GPU servers. To meet this, IDCフロンティア started its DLC Housing Service in July 2025. The service is being rolled out at the Tokyo Fuchu Data Center and the Nara Ikoma Data Center.
