Simbian, Inc. and SoftBank Group company SB C&S Corporation have signed the first distributor agreement in Japan and will begin handling the “Simbian AI SOC Agent,” which supports the automation of autonomous security operations using AI, on December 1, 2025.
As attackers rapidly advance their use of AI, the quality and quantity of cyber threats facing companies are steadily increasing. As a result, it has become commonplace for traditional security measures alone to be insufficient. Mid-sized and large companies, in particular, are increasingly deploying systems at multiple locations and with increasing complexity, requiring them to monitor and analyze vast amounts of security logs and respond quickly to incidents. However, a serious shortage of security personnel and the dependency on individualized response are major challenges. Security Operation Centers (SOCs), which constantly monitor and analyze internal and external security information and respond quickly to threats, are essential for initial response to increasingly sophisticated attacks and minimizing damage. However, securing skilled analysts and the heavy workload associated with their operation pose major obstacles that make it difficult to implement and maintain SOCs.
The “Simbian AI SOC Agent” offered by SB C&S is a solution that supports autonomous security operations using AI. Autonomous AI agents specialized in various tasks, such as SOC operations, threat hunting, and exposure management, work together as a virtual SOC team to carry out their work. Standardizing and automating SOC tasks, which tend to be highly dependent on individual personnel, can alleviate the chronic shortage of security personnel. AI-based analysis and decision support enables more sophisticated and expedited incident response, contributing to reduced operational burden and cost savings. To address the rapidly changing threat environment, the solution also supports the construction of next-generation SOC architecture and expands the scope of SOC coverage to comprehensively monitor and manage diverse environments, including on-premise, cloud, and endpoints. These enhanced functionality promotes in-house and self-sustaining security operations within companies, enabling the establishment of a system that does not rely on external parties.
