Cybersecurity in manufacturing has moved well beyond protecting office networks. To address that shift, Konica Minolta Japan has partnered with TXOne Networks Japan to strengthen OT security support for manufacturers.
The partnership allows Konica Minolta Japan to offer TXOne Networks’ OT security solutions alongside its existing IT infrastructure and security services. Instead of viewing IT and operational technology as completely separate worlds, the company will basically offer end to end support, it starts by checking factory systems and the security measures that already exist, and only then it moves toward deployment, network design, and that longer term operations part.
This shift is landing right as manufacturers keep pushing ahead with digital transformation and more IoT projects. As a result, the number of production systems connected to enterprise networks keeps growing. Yes, these kinds of changes can raise efficiency, but they also open up factory environments to cyber risks that classic IT security tools often struggle to cover, or they just miss. If an attack succeeds it can mess up production, force a stop in factory operations, and hit business continuity in a direct way.

この契約では, コニカミノルタジャパン will provide TXOne’s security portfolio, including malware inspection for critical equipment, endpoint protection for legacy systems, plus network segmentation that’s meant to contain attacks before they have a chance to spread across production lines. With engineers who are certified on TXOne technologies, the company wants to help manufacturers improve cyber resilience while still keeping operations stable and uninterrupted.
